Roman Kaelin is an Emmy-nominated and award winning Director and Visual Effects Artist based in Zurich, Switzerland. Operating at the intersection of high-end digital craft and cinematic storytelling, he is defined by a pursuit of the "unseen", the moment where technical innovation and creative intuition converge.

As a filmmaker and director, Roman has crafted acclaimed short films and commercial campaigns for global brands including IWC Schaffhausen and On Running. His independent work has been honored worldwide, earning accolades at the Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards, SIGGRAPH, and LA Shorts, alongside creative collaborations with premier studios like Elastic and Untold.

Roman co-runs PULK, a full-service CGI and animation studio collective. His dual-workflow allows him to spearhead end-to-end productions for clients, brands and agencies or integrate seamlessly with global studios as a freelance collaborator and VFX Supervisor. Driven by Swiss precision and a design-first philosophy, Roman bridges the gap between technical complexity and pure creative vision.
