FORMIC

DAVID VS GOLIATH

Formic represents the first visual effects short film I created at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Launched in 2009, the project has its roots embedded in skateboarding and filmmaking, fusing the the two disciplines together into an unexpected short film narrative.

The project garnered widespread international success, securing multiple awards across the global film festival circuit. It achieved industry recognition when it was selected and screened at the prestigious Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors' Showcase in Cannes, serving as an early proof of concept for blending unusual themes with meticulous digital craftsmanship.
